In partnership with AIDS Foundation Houston, Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital, Mr. Mizwa spent over 17 years with AIDS Foundation Houston, one of the largest non-profit AIDS service organizations in the United States, where he served as Outreach Coordinator, Director of Education, Vice President-Community Affairs and ultimately Chief Executive Officer. Mizwa has received numerous local, state, and national awards in HIV prevention and leadership. Mizwa oversees the BIPAI Network operations, which has an aggregate annual budget of $42 million. Mizwa has over 26 years experience in non-profit HIV/AIDS prevention and social services and extensive experience globally in pediatric HIV/AIDS program development, administration and management, human resources development and government relations. The network now includes COEs in Swaziland, Malawi, Romania, Botswana, Lesotho and Tanzania among others. He is the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President for the Baylor College of Medicine International Pediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI) at Texas Children’s Hospital, the parent organization that established and brings together the entire Children’s Clinical Centers of Excellence (COE) globally.

He is an award recipient of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention’s Price Fellowship in HIV Prevention Leadership for developing the first HIV/AIDS offender education training-of-trainers program throughout the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Mizwa is the chair to the Board of Directors for Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation-Uganda.
